Fortunately, you can get rid of such allergies by stopping buying low-quality alcohol.

It is possible to have an allergic reaction to homemade wine, but the chance of this is much less. If a reaction occurs to mulled wine and liqueurs, then the allergen may be nuts, which are standard components for these drinks - almonds and hazelnuts.

Strong alcohol with additional impurities

In the production of drinks such as tequila, whiskey, cognac, sumbuca and the like, alcohol is not completely processed. This is done specifically so that the drink can preserve the taste of the raw materials from which the alcohol was originally made - be it grain crops, agave or grapes. Such drinks can cause an allergic reaction due to impurities, dyes and other additives. In addition, we should not forget about the ethanol allergy itself.

• Tequila rich in higher alcohols and essential components. In addition to a possible allergic reaction, these substances place additional stress on the liver and make the hangover more severe. Tequila aged in wooden barrels is considered less dangerous - the wood absorbs a significant part of the essential oils.
• IN whiskey There is also significantly more fusel and essential oils, along with other harmful substances, than in vodka, although less than in brandy and rum. Many substances are released into the drink from oak wood during the process of aging alcohol in barrels. Most of these substances are moderately toxic and can cause an immune and allergenic response in the body. But they do not contain vitamins and beneficial elements to relieve a hangover or help the body in the process of intoxication.
• Compound moonshine depends very much on the raw materials used to produce alcohol. In addition, the degree of purification of alcohol from impurities and foreign substances is of great importance. When producing moonshine yourself, this purification is significantly worse than in factory production conditions, and therefore the risk of negative consequences is significantly greater.
