1. Eat as little dry, drying food as possible: chips, salty, fried nuts, dry grain products (muesli, various cereals).

In the morning, after you get up and brush your teeth, drink about a liter of clean water (warm or room temperature) within 15–25 minutes, and you will usually have a bowel movement within an hour. Ayurveda also strongly recommends drinking at least a glass of clean water in the morning after waking up. And during the day - at least two liters of clean water. But it is important to remember that the water should be at room temperature or even warmer. And 40 minutes before and after a meal, it is better to refrain from drinking, or drink hot herbal teas (but not black tea or coffee, and certainly not different types of cola, Sprite and other similar poisonous liquids, which are generally better to avoid) .
The habit of drinking coffee or black tea can lead to constipation, as these are drying drinks.

3. In general, the main cause of chronic constipation is considered to be a lack of fluid in the body, which leads to drying out of the colon.

4. It is important to eat as much fiber-rich foods as possible: vegetables and fruits. But please keep in mind that if you eat a lot of green leaves, fresh cabbage, onions, oranges, especially during cold periods of the year, it increases vata dosha (air element) in the body.

This, in turn, contributes to bloating, increased gas formation and constipation. Therefore, especially in winter, it is recommended to season food with natural vegetable oils (olive, sunflower, etc.), lightly stew vegetables, and not eat cold vegetables or fruits.
Dairy products, whole grains, bran, and porridge also increase the volume of intestinal contents. Food should be oily, sesame or olive oils are especially useful. Fruit juices are useful: plum, grape, cherry.

Modern nutritionists say that fiber is found in bran, cereals, fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, and seeds.

WHERE IS FIBER NOT CONTAINED?

These products simply block and poison the digestive tract: meat, fats, sugar (refined white) and industrially produced food products (dry concentrates and canned food, biscuits, premium bread, various sweets), premium flour.

By the way, taking fiber will allow anyone who wants to lose weight to do so safely and effectively. The mechanism of weight loss is that fiber helps normalize metabolism and reduces appetite. Consequences of a diet containing low amounts of fiber: constipation, diverticula, inguinal hernia, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, colon cancer, intestinal polyps, atherosclerosis, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, gallstones, appendicitis.

5. Do not store at home and especially should not eat products made from white refined flour, especially with white sugar, various types of hamburgers or pizzas, especially meat ones.
Minimize the consumption of meat products (and exclude pork and beef completely), especially together with potatoes and white bread, as well as the consumption of refined sugar. Remember that food from McDonald's and other American eateries seems to be specially created to clog the intestines, make you overweight, and spoil your digestion and overall health.
All these hamburgers, pizzas, chips, etc., which are washed down with cold cola on the go, can turn you into a disabled person in 2-3 weeks. True, now, under pressure from critics, they have begun to add a little greenery. But these genetically modified and chemically pumped tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs, etc., no dung worm, even a very hungry one, will eat.
White bread made from refined flour with many chemical additives (and even without them) does not bring anything beneficial to the body. And if you mix it with melted cheese or meat (filled with chemicals), then it becomes a heavy, harmful mass that the body cannot digest.
Fast food (quick food, snack on the go), which is also junk food (garbage food), cannot bring you anything good.

6. Many yoga exercises (asanas) increase the fire of digestion and improve digestion.
Also, about those who do a lot of physical labor, physical exercise, especially long-distance running, cycling, swimming, etc., they are said to be “able to digest stones.”

7. It is very advisable to cleanse your body 1-2 times a year, at least the intestines and preferably the liver. This could be enemas, juice therapy, etc., many books have been written about this - you can choose the cleansing that suits you best.

At night it is very good to drink sweetened milk with
a teaspoon of ghee (ghee) and preferably with spices.

13. Constipation can be a consequence of infectious diseases.

15. Mental factors can cause constipation and digestive problems: fear, anxiety, insomnia, depression, despondency, overexcitation of the nervous system, etc., as well as smoking and prolonged TV watching.

17. I highly recommend that you use an amazing Ayurvedic powder - triphala (it contains three fruits of tropical trees: amalaki, haritaki and bibhitaki). Triphala is an excellent colon cleanser, tonic and rejuvenating drug. It also strengthens the nervous system, improves digestion, regulates metabolism; if you are overweight, it reduces obesity, and if you are underweight, it promotes the growth of muscle and nervous tissue. Triphala is also a mild laxative, but the body does not get used to it. This is a special remedy for treating constipation and removing toxins from the colon. It should be taken 5-15 grams at night, either with warm water or, best of all, with warm milk and honey. If you take it for 3-6 months, the body is greatly cleansed.
I read that English scientists conducted research and found that if you take it for more than three months, cleansing takes place even at the cellular level. Also, fresh aloe juice (1-2 teaspoons 3 times a day) is very helpful for treating chronic constipation. But, basically, the aloe juice that is on sale also contains chemical additives and preservatives, which is why it changes its properties.

18. The use of many other types of laxatives - even in small courses - can lead to dependence on them and a weakening of the tone of the colon, disruption of the functions of other organs, strengthening of vata dosha (air element), as well as poor appetite, insomnia, diarrhea or persistent constipation, dizziness, weakness, anxiety, increased heart rate. Therefore, they should be resorted to only in extreme cases.

19. I recommend that in case of constipation or simply for prevention, twice a year for two weeks, do the following 1-4 times: take your last meal at 18:00, and at 20-00 mix 3-5 tablespoons of castor oil with a glass milk or tomato juice and, as usual, with a feeling of deep gratitude to the Almighty, drink this nectar for the body.

Castor oil cleanses the intestines very well (you will see this by morning), and the body does not get used to it. In my opinion, it is generally difficult to get used to castor oil, much less begin to depend on it.
In general, all these cleanses have one big advantage: it will be easy for you to give up harmful foods, because you, being relatively clean, feel like you are being polluted much more than people who do not cleanse.
But an even greater effect of cleansing is that you understand that then, in order to expel these toxins and fat from the body, you will need to make an effort (fasting, dieting, actively playing sports, drinking something, etc.).

A week ago, my family and I were in a small resort town in British Columbia (Canada). There were many health and activity benefits offered there: bicycles, golf, canoeing, etc. plus hot springs. But I noticed that people who come there regularly still don’t look healthy.

Food that does not correspond to human nature, and not its lack, as politicians claim, is to blame for the poor state of society. Mental health, peace of mind, the absence of neuroses and mental disorders also depend on the quality of nutrition.
Eastern doctors and teachers knew all this: if you do not watch what you eat, then spiritual progress will slow down significantly, your health will deteriorate greatly - both mental and physical.
